When we showed up I asked the hostess to be sat at the high top outside to eat. She very sternly told me that I couldn't eat at the high tops only drink. I asked to talk to the GM to ask why, but he told us we don't serve food at the high tops. If we wanted to eat we would have to eat at a dining table. So after diner at a low top, we go back to the high tops for drinks and smokes. Then wouldn't you know it, we find people eating at the hight tops! If it wasn't for the food and the entertainment, you would only be getting 2 stars.

What a wonderful meal! This is my second trip to Evan's Prairie and it did not disappoint! I had the Key Lime Scampi Pasta which was a gamble for me but it was beyond anything I expected. The lime was subtle and really added to the dish. The topping on the cake was that the portion was enough for two separate meals. I can't wait to eat the leftovers.

Nice for a drink for sure. The view is lovely and expansive. Food? Meah...its same owner as three other country club restaurants in the Villages. Geez, you think about restaurant groups in major cities and they offer some really kick ass, unusual, fabulous dining experiences. Here in the Villages, it's just "meah". I heard this owner tries to reach 80% of the population here - the average folks, which is fine. He knows his market. But, for the rest of us, it's just average and bland. I like the Mahi Mahi for sure but there's nothing I crave on any of the menus. It's easy, it's local but it's also not necessarily worth leaving the house for.

Nice country club restaurant. The inside is cute and cozy, we ate in the outside heated area with views of the golf course/water. My mahi mahi was sooo good (definitely get the pomegranate sauce from the other fish dish on the side, it was amazing!!!). I also really enjoyed the chicken quiche. The pecan pie dessert was soo rich and chocolaty and delicious, and the key lime pie was also pretty good! We had great fast service and overall nice experience. One issue...never had a restaurant that only provided the standard Lipton tea as the only tea option. I would recommend getting more variety!

I keep trying and they keep failing! I ordered a blackened mahi sandwich. It came in blackened so I sent it back. They just put blackening on it and sent it back to me!! I guess they don't know how to cook blackened. Note: it was now warm!! That was not the only issue. My wife ordered vegetarian lasagna and, of course, they sent out meat lasagna - a horrible mistake for a vegetarian!!! And then there was the infamous Evans Prairie NOISE!! By far, the noisiest restaurant in The Villages. With NO attempts at sound deadening, the ROAR of voices makes it nearly impossible to have any type of conversation at the table. It is horrible!! I have tried this place and they keep failing!!

Mediocre food (nothing special at all) and service is just OK. We have been multiple times because it is so close to our house but each time we are disappointed once again. The manager even gave us complimentary food because of bad service, but future visits never got any better. A beautiful setting. A real shame they can't do better!!!!

Another great dinner here. As good as last year. We both started with a cup of The Tuscan bean soup and it was great. I then ordered the ham and bacon quiche, very tasty with a wonderful crust. My wife had the vegetable flat bred and loved it. The Camelot Pinot Noir was excellent and reasonably price. We were a party of eight and Jerald our server did a superb job.

Good golf course restaurant~ pub! Pricey but good size portions. Slow when crowded but go off hours and they do pretty well! Super sized mushrooms appetizer are great! Flatbreads are big enough to share and are excellent! Happy hours 11~5 too!

There was a wide variety to chose from on the menu and the osso bucco pork and lobster bisque was absolutely delicious. We loved the atmosphere there.

We stopped here for lunch after a recommendation from my parents' realtor in the Villages. We've been to a few eateries in and around the Villages over the past year or so while my parents have been searching for a house, but this one was by far my favorite. We sat outside and had a terrific view of the wetlands and golf course. We had casually mentioned that we were a little short on time as we had an appointment to get to after lunch, and our server went above and beyond to accommodate us - she put in a rush order for the appetizer, our food was timely and she made sure we had the check as soon as we were done eating. And let's talk about the blue cheese chips. They said it was one of their most popular appetizers, and now I can see why. I've never had anything like it. Fresh potato chips drizzled with blue cheese dressing and balsamic glaze. Like... blue cheese nachos. What! Delicious. Can't wait to go back to this place and try some more stuff on the menu... If I still have room after my own personal order of blue cheese chips.

Really nice country club environment, without the snobbitude! Full bar good size menu and friendly staff! St. Patrick's day specials, with shepherd's pie a regular menu item! Guinness on tap too! Occasional live entertainment. Great appetizers!

The food is wonderful, and the staff are super friendly. There was no wait for a table, and our server was very attentive. I recommend "The Hook" which is blackened Mahi Mahi and sides of rice and veggies. I substituted the veggies for grilled asparagus (only for $1 more). The food tasted fresh and had great presentation.

Atmosphere is country club like and service was great. The food was good, but for me everything is just too spicy. I have even asked the waitress to please ask the chef to cut down the spices, but it still comes out spicy. I also found the consistency of the food is not there. I've eaten there quite a few times and I have ordered some repeat dishes and they have never come out the same. My family likes to eat there, so when I go now I stick to grilled chicken salad with no dressing. I use only oil. I am hoping over time they will get better. They also have a 2 for $25 dinner menu which is great, but I still hesitate - lets just say its not my first choice.

Great meals. Great service. Great decor. Awesome view. This place is top ten in The Villages.

We waited 20 minutes for a table on the patio with a beautiful view of what is left of the wetlands that haven't been taken over by golf courses and cookie cutter houses. The view was beautiful, and the service was standard, but we waited 45 minutes for a baked potato, salad with pre-cooked chicken, and a cold turkey wrap. We were getting lightheaded for having waited almost an hour for our food, so we asked to see the manager to let him know our frustration for having to wait so long for a simple order. He was an excellent listener, and finally replied with "Thanks for your feedback", and walked away. We never saw him again. Tables that had been seated 15 minutes after us were already finishing their entrees and paying their bill. So why were we still sitting famished having sat down before them? That's poor management for you. When we finally got our food 10 minutes later, it was nothing worth waiting for, and when our server brought us our check, nothing had been deducted from the bill. Crappy food, terrible management, I can get a beautiful view anywhere else in The Villages. We will NEVER be back.

Good service, attentive wait staff, like the new layout for a village country club, a little like the Arnold Parmer club in that the room is separated and not one big space. Food was good, proved reasonable, serviced timely. Will be back. Had steak , wife had seafood, good presentation.
